Jolene Skordis-Worrall – Honorary Senior Lecturer

Jolene Skordis-Worrall is an Honorary Lecturer at the Health Economics Unit and lectures at the UCL Centre for International Health & Development and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is currently working on demand-side research in South Africa, Malawi and Nepal, exploring the links between treatment seeking behaviour and poverty. She is also involved in an evaluation of womens’ groups to improve maternal health in Malawi. Future work is likely to investigate the role of incentives in shaping provider behaviour, the behaviour of insured patients in South Africa, patient perceptions of provider quality, and the role of individual agency as a predictor of health behaviour and health outcomes.
