7th iHEA World Congress
The iHEA (International Health Economics Association) 7th World Congress held in Beijing during July 2009, was attended by 2000 delegates. The event focused on harmonising health and economics.

5th IAS Conference
The 5th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention (IAS 2009) was held in Cape Town in July 2009. This is the world’s largest open scientific conference on HIV/AIDS. It attracts about 5000 delegates. Dr Sue Cleary was invited to be a discussant at an ANRS symposium which was part of the IAS.
