On Tuesday, 20 April 2010, the HEU hosted a celebration cocktail at the Centre for the Book in Cape Town.  The event was well-attended - 130 people were invited. After the welcome address from the HEU Director, the university’s Vice-Chancellor gave a short speech about the importance of translating research into policy after which Honorary Professor Gavin Mooney spoke about the work of the HEU and all that has been achieved over the last two decades.
