Prof. John Eyles from McMaster University (Canada) held a workshop at our offices during his research visit to the HEU. John is also a co-PI on the Researching Equity in Access to Health Care (REACH) project. The project focuses on how health systems could contribute more effectively to achieving development goals by actively promoting equitable access to health care. The HEU collaborates with the Center for Health Policy at the University of Witwatersrand and McMaster University in Canada in this Teasdale-Corti funded project. The workshop focused on key aspects of qualitative research, including interviewing techniques, journal keeping, interpretation and theory development. The workshop was convened on 29 September 2009.
